The Difference Between a Push-Up Bra and a Regular Bra

With breasts comes great responsibility. Let's be honest, they can be hindrances in the job market, and deal breakers in the bedroom. Both, the greater endowed and lesser endowed, are constantly seeking ways to perfect their shapes and minimize their flaws while looking as stunning as possible. Larger breasted women look for bras that alleviate the horrible effects of gravity, while their smaller breasted counterparts look for ways to add that extra oomph. It is not an easy task, and many arduous hours can be spent in a fitting room looking for the perfect bra. As long as we keep reasonable expectations, and understand that it is not necessarily the bra that will escalate us to Heidi Klum status, we can find the optimizing potential in a push-up bra.

Larger breasted women may have difficulty in finding a conventional bra that maximizes their support without looking like they have a straitjacket on and unfortunately the larger the breasts, the greater the effect of gravity. Although they have yet to create an anti-gravity design, a push-up bra can do wonders. The extra padding along the lower portion of the push-up cup can keep breasts from sagging. The design of the cup gives the large breasts a more rounded shape and sets them in the upper part of the chest (about where they sit in the late-teens and early twenty development). More importantly, push up bras for larger breasts can have extra comfort features, such as padded straps and comfortable backing. Having that excess baggage can be painful at times, so certainly shop for comfort as well as style

Lesser endowed ladies will find a push-up bra to be their saving grace. Unlike a regular bra, its push-up counterpart will help your breasts achieve its full potential by pushing up and together. The underneath and sides of the push-up bra give the breasts the extra help it needs and can actually appear to increase cup size. Additionally, some push-up models have the added benefit of being able to choose exactly how much oomph you really need. Some come with removable padding, so the wearer can choose how busty she would like to be!

There are several different types of push-up bras with different padding techniques. Women with smaller breasts will find that the padding can be particularly important. Some pads will give the breasts a more natural shape, while others simply lift and squish. It is always advisable to read reviews and recommendations when trying to find the best bra. It is equally important to keep expectations reasonable. Let's face it, simply buying a push-up bra is not going to propel you to fame, or have lingerie companies beating down your door. However, it will greatly help in the comfort and self-esteem departments, and will certainly turn some heads.

Whether you are looking for an anti-gravity contraption to keep your breasts off your knees and where they belong or are searching for a way to get that extra cup, a push-up bra has many advantages over a regular bra. However, do not expect a push-up bra to be a life changing purchase. Keep your breasts high, not your expectations.

Staying in Shape Over 40 - What You Need to Know

Turning 40 can be a powerful and transient event even though many women believe that everything starts to change or even fall apart at 40. This doesn't have to be so! Women can stay strong and competitive, healthy and fit well over the age of 40. There may be some changes you need to make, but it is an important time for you to make these changes so that you can continue to stay in shape.

Some basic dietary changes can help you to supplement your workouts and keep you strong. Calcium, for example, has always been important in a woman's diet, but it is critical to start supplementing calcium now if you haven't already. Bone density begins to decline and if this gets really bad, it can lead to osteoporosis later in life. Ginseng is an herb that can help to give you energy when you start to feel fatigue, and some people swear it is what helps keep them young. Consuming a lot of fruits and vegetables is crucial to keeping yourself young. Not only is it very healthy for your body, it is quite beneficial for your skin as well. Natural foods, especially fruits and vegetables, are full of antioxidants, and these help keep free radicals from destroying that youthful appearance of your skin. Also good are salmon and other foods such as almonds, flax and fatty fish which provide a strong source of Omega 3 fatty acids. Again, this is good for your heart health but also for your radiant skin.

Staying in shape also means getting - or staying - physical, of course. You may discover aches and pains that you haven't noticed prior to turning 40. It's not because 40 is some magical age, but rather a useful timeline to gauge when women tend to start feeling less energetic, more rigid, or have tighter muscles than they used to. A fun and relaxing antidote to this is yoga. Yoga has been said to be the true fountain of youth! A good, long yoga session a few times a week or a simple practice of ten to twenty minutes daily can relax, tone and lengthen your muscles as well as your spirit. It also helps to de-stress your mind, which has been shown to have an effect on cortisol levels in the body. By reducing cortisol, you can help reduce the belly fat that may be more stubborn to remove these days. Any time of stress-relieving mechanism you use will help keep you young, but yoga is an especially good one.

If yoga isn't really your speed, pick something that is. Maybe you enjoy spinning, or a step class or kickboxing. Whatever it is, don't stop now just because you've reached that dreaded age. Keeping active now is just as important as it was when you were twenty, if not more so. If your aches and pains feel like they are preventing you from doing what you like to do best, it probably means you need to stretch more. Stretching can be a wonderful tool to keep you young and keep your muscles supple and strong. It can help prevent muscle tears and help you reach new levels of fitness by warming up the muscles and ligaments, but it can also just feel great after a nice, long bout of exercise. If you run or bike, be sure to stretch the calves and quadriceps muscles as well as the hamstrings. If you like to partake in a class at your gym and there is a lot of jumping involved, make sure to stretch the ankles as well. Simply adding ten or fifteen minutes of stretching to your daily routine can make you feel years younger if you are faithful about it.

Staying in shape doesn't just mean looking good or staying in good shape on the outside. Once you reach the age of forty, keeping up with regular doctor appointments becomes more important than it was in days past. Make sure to get a mammogram and screen for early detection of breast cancer. Make an appointment with your general practitioner for a complete physical. Consult with a dermatologist, and keep regular full-body skin checkups once or twice a year, which can help screen out skin cancer and suspicious moles that may crop up. If you used to see the eye doctor once every couple of years, cut that in half and see him once annually. Unfortunately, the eyes are quick to deteriorate as you age, and you will want to keep up with these check-ups for safety reasons, to be able to keep reading, and to check for signs of glaucoma and other age-related diseases.

Nobody said getting older was fun, but it does not have to be painful. The age-old adage that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure applies to the aging process very well, and if you take these measures you too can age gracefully.

Cheap Lingerie Without The Cheap Look

Men spend a lot of money trying to find ways to make their loved ones even prettier than they are. To find a look that flatters what his mate has and hides the things she doesn't like about herself can make everyone feel good. But what can be even better is finding cheap lingerie that looks like it cost a million dollars. Even now that's not an easy task. But with an increase in online lingerie shops, it's getting easier.

Cheap lingerie might be a misnomer. Even lingerie on sale is typically higher in cost than a pair of pants. But there are places and times where men can find lower-priced lingerie. Clearance bins at the local department store is one place to look. These bins hold the pieces that got overstocked, or failed to sell for some reason. As such, they may not be silk or satin lingerie with frills or extras. But they can still make a good gift for someone who has not become accustomed to higher-priced lingerie. Another place to look for low-price lingerie is online. With the myriad of lingerie storefronts on the Internet, there are inevitably going to be those pieces that arrive to the seller defective or tagged with the wrong size. Some will sell returns for a percentage off. And with all of the competition online, there will always be a shop here or there that is going out of business and needs to get rid of its inventory, for whatever customers are willing to pay.

There are as many styles of cheap lingerie as there are body types in the world. Two distinct purposes of lingerie are to enhance the body's natural beauty and to shape and modify parts of the body that need help. Corsets, bustiers, bras, garters and the like are shapers. They can make the breasts appear larger and more shapely. They can also slim the waist and bring out curves that are just barely there. Teddys, camis, baby dolls and other similar styles of lingerie can enhance the body's natural shape. They often cover the torso, and come in either one-piece suits or a set with a top and panties.

Movies have made popular the silky, soft and lacy lingerie, but it can be made of a variety of fabrics. Leather and velvet are popular choices for those looking to go against the grain. Cotton and other more 'comfortable' fabrics have made a recent appearance to cater to women with "discomfort phobia." Lycra, a stretchy material related to spandex, is popular among men's lingerie and increasingly with women's bodysuits.

As the quality of it continues to increase, cheap lingerie isn't just for the financially burdened. As many a cheapskate has said, why spend a fortune to buy the name brand, when you can get a knockoff for half the price? Purchasing lingerie on clearance can be a great investment, if buyers are willing to accept the imperfections. Trying a piece of lingerie on before buying can keep sizing mistakes from becoming an issue. And a simple inspection of the hems and fabric will minimize any chance of getting a piece that will have to be donated to Goodwill.

Being Plus Size Doesn't Limit Your Choices

Clothes shopping can be a chore, and even more so if you're a plus sized woman. No matter what size you are, developing a shopping strategy before you hit the mall is a good idea. If you are looking for clothes that fit well and you're a plus size, this goes double for you! So take a look at the few tips below and make sure that you're a best dressed gal this winter.

First, there's a good chance that you've been told to stick to dark colors like black, gray and maroon, but this is not really the case. Cut will always beat color in terms of importance when it comes to looking good, so when it boils down to it, a well-cut outfit in tangerine orange will look just as good as one in charcoal gray. Make sure that the outfits you are wearing aren't just composed of tubes; look for a taper around the waist and hips, depending on your build and make sure that above all, you clothing is comfortable. Similarly, make sure that no matter what you wear, you feel good in it.

Not all body types look good in the same style of clothes. Oftentimes, "plus-sized" lines of apparel are only oversized versions of their garments for smaller women. The sad reality is that these clothes were designed with the smaller woman in mind, and frequently do not have the same flattering effect on the plus size girl. Stand in front of your mirror and decide what features you'd like to accentuate, rather than what you'd like to disguise. If you have voluptuous curves, pick styles of clothing that enhance them. Wide-hipped women should opt for curvy A-line skirts rather than broomstick skirts. When shopping for skirts, be conscious of hem length. Skirts that fall at your calf will shorten the appearance of your legs, but floor- or knee-length skirts will flatter.

When going out in the winter, remember that layering is your friend. One way to stay warm and look great is to layer several thinner tops on top of one another. Avoid the bulky sweater or pull over and instead layer a long sleeved stretch top under a snappy short sleeved shirt for casual wear. The thinner layers will cling to you to provide better warmth while maintaining an attractive silhouette. Look for clothes that mix and match well, and you'll have plenty of options all winter.

Remember that shopping for plus sized clothing doesn't mean that you have to be stuck wearing something that fits you poorly or is unattractive on you.

Look Beautiful, Feel Beautiful, Be Beautiful - 10 Tips a Little Lipstick Can Change Your Life

My sister recently went through a very difficult time. We were talking on the phone one night and she said "my hair needs to be cut and colored, I haven't had my nails done in months. I have no energy. I don't even care." I went over the next day and practically carried her to the salon. I said if you look better you will feel better. A little lipstick can change your life :) Here are 10 simple tips will help you maintain and enhance your natural beauty.
1) Exercise for at least 15 to 20 minutes a day. Exercise boosts your self esteem and the immune system. This makes you less likely to become depressed or sick.
2) Use a water based moisturizer on your lips before putting on your lipstick. This helps the lipstick stay on longer and keeps lips from drying out and becoming chapped.
3) Flush the toxins out of your system by drinking penty of water.
4) Avoid smoking and alcohol. Both deplete the body of essential nutrients and they age your skin.
5) Stress is the biggest beauty culprit.Try to be positive and love every day as a new adventure and get joy from all the little things (so many cost nothing). Drink 8 glasses of water a day and use a moisturizer.
6) Wear sunblock every day. Make sure to apply your sunscreen at least 20 minutes before you go out. Sunscreen takes time to start working.
7) If your eyes are deep set use light shades to line them. Lighter shades will emphasize and give a sultry/seductive look.
8) Make sure you get an adequate amount of sleep each night. Your skin repairs and renews during sleep.
9) Keep skin moisturized. This is especially important in cold, dry climates. Those elements can accelerate the aging process.
10) Make sure you stick to a nightly regimen of cleansing your skin. It's important to remove makeup and pollutions which can trigger redness, blotchiness and acne.

Puffy Eyes & Eye Bags Under the Eyes - How to Get Rid of Puffy Eyes

Do you want to keep the aging from coming faster? Do you want to keep the puffy eyes off of your face and keep from getting eye bags under the eyes? You can stay looking young or at least look younger than you are with a few tricks.
You can help yourself out at any age with a daily massage routine. You will need to use a good moisturizer with your massage each and every single day. This will keep the skin supple and you will be able to keep yourself from aging faster than you would like.
You can massage in some apricot oil with your ring finger. Massage in a circular motion from the corner of your eye towards your temple. This can be done daily to help reduce crows feet, dark circles, and wrinkles from forming. This will also improve your muscles that encircle your eye.
Another thing that can help is to put slices of either cucumber or raw potatoes over your eyes. Leave them there for about 15 minutes and you will be able to reduce the appearance of the circles under your eyes. You can also do this with pre steeped teabags, preferably green teabags because they have more nutrients than black teabags.
You can also try the creams that the beauty industry put out. These can help from time to time, but there are not many that will do a lot of good for you. You are better off with a good moisturizer that is more natural. This is how you can help yourself when it comes to puffy eyes and eye bags under your eyes.
If your bags are really bad, then you can go ahead and make an appointment with your dermatologist. This will help you if you are in need of expert advice.

Techniques For Looking Beautiful

To look beautiful is a dream of every boy and girl. Looking beautiful is such a Herculean task. Beauty always come from inside and if you want to look beautiful you have to look natural. Beauty doesn't mean wearing heavy eye shadow and blush to look beautiful. Here are some tips to make you look stunning and gorgeous before going anywhere.
Tips to look beautiful
Apply a moisturizer - You can moisturize your skin by drinking a lot of water. Drinking a lot of water will keep you hydrated and silky smooth. Apply a high quality moisturizer on your face and neck twice a day and you will see a huge difference in the texture of your face. It would also be more beneficial if you choose a face cream that is designed to even your skin tone and get rid of age spots and wrinkles.
Hair arrangement- If you have long hair, brush your tresses and tie it up in a bun or just leave your hair loose. If you have short hair, wear large funky bands that suit your attire and if you keep your hair with side swept bangs and hair below the chin it will give you young look.
Lipstick Shades - The shade of lipstick you use can add or take off years. Do not use lipsticks in shades of brown. Put on a little bit of lip gloss. This will highlight your lips.
Sound sleep - Taking a sound sleep is helpful to keep you away from many diseases. Sleep refreshes your body but if you regularly get only a few hours of sleep at night, it will hinder metabolism and hormone production in a way that is similar to the effects of aging.
Perfumes - A young vibe makes you appear younger. A young fragrance makes you seem much younger than you really are. In a study, women who wore scents with pink grapefruit notes appeared, on average, 6 years younger than their actual age according to the men who were surveyed.

Why You Should Buy Natural Mineral Makeup

It has been said that natural mineral makeup is the best cosmetic used on the skin. However, many women aren't using them still due to single reason - price. These types of cosmetics can be expensive. Its price can triple if compared to an ordinary chemical-based make-up. Healthy living should be the priority of everyone. And when faced with a choice like this, price shouldn't be the only consideration.
Natural mineral makeup isn't only for those who can afford it. There are natural make-ups that are low-priced too. All you really have to do is to look for the right brands and manufacturers. Even so, their prices would always be greater than ordinary make-ups. But if you just consider all the health benefits you'll gain from it, you are actually saving more from these cosmetics in the long run.
The primary benefit of natural make-ups is healthier skin. Compare the complexion of a woman who is using chemical-based solution for several years to a woman who is using natural mineral products. You'll see that the former has dull and dry skin. To make their skin beautiful again, they would have to spend hours inside a dermatologist's clinic. And that is going to cost them money, as every session has to be paid for - not to mention the treatments they have to apply at home.
Natural mineral makeup is created to never make your face dry and damaged. It contains all-natural ingredients so you are sure that there are no irritants and allergens in its composition. It will not harm, cause rashes, or trigger inflammations on your skin. Furthermore, it would make your skin even more beautiful and glowing.
Natural make-ups maintain the youthfulness of your skin, while ordinary cosmetics can thoughtlessly strip them away. If you use chemical-laden products for years, wrinkles on your face form faster and your skin gets dehydrated quicker. Botox treatments aren't cheap these days. And so if you aren't careful with the cosmetics you use, you might end up requiring a series of them, just to restore the youthful glow of your face. Now that's something only the rich famous people can afford.
Enjoy the advantages of using natural mineral makeup. The only drawback of these products is the price. But even that is irrelevant when the harmful effects of extensive use of animal and chemical-based make-ups are considered. Don't you think you're better off using the more natural option?

Beauty is Only Skin Deep?

Photo models and cover girls don't always have perfect profiles, lovely eyes, or sexy lips. Yet their skin looks smooth and shiny providing a nice appearance in overall. Skin is obviously the most factor determining one's beauty.

When we were teens or still in our twenties, we almost had no skin problem. No wrinkles, no aging spots... no dryness. However, have you ever seen a 75 year old lady still having a smooth and youthful skin? I did. Some people have the aging effect on their skin earlier, and others later. So, what makes the difference?

Women always dream to have a youthful skin. Every woman does. Fortunately, it does not end up a dream only. You can have that youthful look, no matter how old you are. Beauty is actually not only skin deep.... it is even deeper, depends on what you have 'under' your skin. Also never forget the fact that beautiful skin is healthy skin. . So everything you do (for your skin), do it for the health of your skin!

A proper diet keeps longer your skin's youth

Your skin indicates your health in general. If you skin looks poor, you may lack some nutrition for your body. Improper nutrition can even cause some illness.

Milk is good for new cells formation for it's rich of fatty acid. Drinking 6 to 8 glasses of water daily moistens your skin and cleanses cells in your body. Vitamins A and B are essential; they are found in green and yellow veggies, fruit, cheese, eggs, margarine, liver and milk.

Vitamin C avoids dry skin and scalp problems such as dandruff. Fresh fruit and vegetables are the best resources for vitamin C. If you find yourself easily bruised, you may lack vitamin E. Dull hair and dry skin may indicate lack of iron. Vegetables and red meat are iron resources. Protein is absolutely needed for your skin and for your health in general.

Chocolates may cause acne in some cases. If you easily have acne, avoid food containing iodine, such as seafood, peanut, spinach, and cabbage. Caffeine and alcohol can effect vasodilatations, then enlarge your skin pores.

In spite of these facts, a proper diet does not replace the need of outer skin care. You still have to keep your skin cleanliness. Use proper cosmetics for your typical skin. Find the proper way to treat your skin. Trust these all will create an overall skin beauty.

Underwear Matters - Defy The Lines

There are so many beautiful women out there of all skin types, tones & sizes. We each have our own individuality that makes us unique. Some are good at business, some at baking, others at charity, maybe, and then you have those who focus in on fashion and creativity. But regardless of what you do, we all have an image to uphold, and hopefully, we all have a life outside of 'what we do' where our appearance matters, as well.

So, where I am going with all this? Well, if you are going to take the time to look the part for any event, whether it is work, play or a date, please consider all the essentials, and don't leave out ANYTHING, including what goes on under that fabulous outfit you're going to wear!

Picture it, she has on a dress that is a perfect color for her skin tone, her make-up is just right, and 'Oh!' look at that hair! Then you notice her great shoes and that nice pair of earrings she's wearing... but then, all of a sudden, as you're discreetly looking at her and thinking how nice she looks... you focus in on that bulge right around her waistline! How could that be?!? She looks incredible from head to toe, but she forgot about her underclothes?

Oh, poor thing... It's when I see this happen that I want to go over to her and say, 'Honey, did you know..., and 'Let me help you...'. It's very simple, really, and here are some tips:

• If you are wearing a dress that clings to your body and you must wear hose, then ditch the underwear and wear ONLY hose. The hose should come high enough so there are absolutely NO roles hanging over that you can see. If there are, the hose should be pulled up higher until they completely cover and hold in the roles (sometimes as high as right under your breasts is required). Control top hose are awesome for smoothing and contouring, like the ones offered by Victoria's Secret and Leggs.

• If you're going the no hose route with a dress, then wear a pair of underwear that are either 'barely' there, or cover all. If they're 'barely there', then please make sure they fit and the waistband is not too tight (again, avoid the bulge attack!). I recommend thongs or g-strings. I know that if you've never ventured into the thong arena that you might be thinking 'how uncomfortable', but quite the contrary in my opinion, and seems how they've been on the market for a while, then I'm not alone!

• If you are going with the cover all option under that dress, then again, please make sure the waist band is high enough to smooth out all lines and eliminate all bulge. The seat should also come low enough to minimize any lines from behind. Some may refer to these as 'granny panties' but they look much better under dresses and dress pants, and they have more support to hold you in! If you're too concerned about your date seeing them, then be sure to have a sexy pair in your purse to throw on after you're out of the public view! Or, there are a lot of sexy full coverage options nowadays.

• I don't recommend it, but if you insist on wearing both panties and hose, then please be sure that the waistband of both line up together (to avoid an extra bulge) and all the same rules above apply.

• Some great tips for avoiding panty lines under dress pants include the 'granny panty' advice above in addition to smoothing undergarments, like products made by Spanx. These often have a wide waste band and are long enough that there are no lines to be seen whatsoever. They're even comfortable and often help you lose an inch or two! Bonus!

• I wouldn't be covering all the bases if I didn't slip something in here about slips under skirts and dresses. Basically, all the same rules apply to wearing slips; make sure the waistband lines up with the waistband of the hose and/or panties, ensure that it's pulled up high enough to minimize any bulge, and please ensure that the slip is smooth and seamless under your dress or skirt. Slips can be great when worn correctly, as there are several styles to hold in the tummy and slim down the thighs. Again, bonus!

• If you feel like living a bit dangerously, a good way to minimize panty lines under dress pants is to not wear any! And now, there's a great product called 'Nundies' for you to place in your pants to provide a barrier when you do summon up the courage to go commando. Be free!

• And finally, be sure to take a good look in the mirror before you walk out the door for any occasion!

If you follow the advice above, then you'll look smoother, thinner, be more comfortable and hopefully, feel more confident! You have to admit, they're pretty simple pointers to remember and live by. Some great brands of hose and underwear are below. Remember, what goes on under those clothes can make or break the outfit!

Next tip to watch for: The bra should fit!

Simply Beautiful at Any Age

Recently one of my clients asked what changes she should make to her makeup regimen as she is growing older. My advice to her was the same as I give to women of every age...keep it simple.

That advice is most important for those of us growing older...oh wait, that is all of us! You do not want to dress, accesorize, have a hairstyle or makeup regimen that is too young for you. You should be updating, changing and modifying your look and style on a regular basis so that what you are saying on the outside meshes with who you are on the inside. As we pass through the seasons of our life we change on the inside as much as we do on the outside and our style should reveal the wonderful women we are.

When I was teaching modeling classes a few years ago I asked the teenage girls in one of my classes what their pet peeve was about how women dress? I was quite certain the response would be something along the lines of "women who have no idea what is in style". I was surprised when the unanimous response was "women dressing too young for their age". I am not saying that women in their 30's, 40's, 50's and so on cannot borrow ideas from a couple of decades younger than they are. However, it needs to be done in little pieces, such as a trendy piece of jewelry with a basic pair of slacks and top...or perhaps a great tunic top paired over straight slacks and a low heeled shoe, rather than leggings and ballerina slippers.

One of the definitions of simple is: free from ostentation or display. In other words, we want to make a statement about who we are without "making a scene". Perhaps think of it as being seen not "scene". We want to be seen for who our inner-selves are. When we over-display any part of our outer self that "scene" becomes stronger than our inner self.

Emphasizing one body part and one facial feature at a time will help achieve a simple beauty. When we look at someone our eyes need someplace to "land". Turn that around and think about those looking at us. By emphasizing our eyes and waist, for example, we will not confuse the eye of the beholder. Instead, we will capture their attention. Once we have captured their attention we can speak and expect the listener to hear us.

We should practice using a lighter hand with makeup as we pass through the decades. Choosing lighter makeup shades than we once used is always a great idea. For example, we should perhaps change to a sable brown rather than black mascara. Don't make the mistake of wearing a shade of lipstick that is too dark or bright for our softer coloring as we age. Choosing a peach/pink rather than a wine/pink - depending on eye, hair and skin color can take several years off our age.

It all about simple...and who doesn't want life to be simpler?

Here is a really great tip that will keep you from being "scene":

Get dressed, style your hair, apply your makeup and make a choice of a few accessories; then close your eyes while standing in front of a full-length mirror. Open your eyes and look at yourself from head to toe while counting to five. Close your eyes and let your mind focus in on the image you just saw. Your mind will automatically pick out the things that are not the best choices.

Dressing For the Sun

Some ladies are so good at dressing for the heat and others just don't seem to have the flair for looking cool. There is something to be said for not caring how you look when the temperatures are approaching 40º in mid summer but most agree you can feel significantly better if you are not looking too much like a wet rag.

The secret of comfortable clothing is natural fibres. Synthetics sweat profusely despite manufacturers' assurances to the contrary. Cotton and linen clothes breathe and allow the wearer some ventillation; imperative to avoid meltdown in a hot climate. Avoid long sleeves but sometimes a 'cap' sleeve is preferable to no sleeve, as the sun can catch and burn exposed shoulders.

Always wear loose clothing in extreme heat, especially if you are not used to a warm climate. Floaty dresses and loose tops beat the heat and can still look elegant if you choose vibrant colours and styles. Match them with bright lipstick and nail polish and select a handbag which compliments the outfit. Shoes should ideally be flat and ultra comfortable. Feet that are encased in tight shoes with fashionable heels can swell and become unbearably painful.

Jewellery accessories are wonderful for jazzing up an otherwise plain and frumpy 'tent.' Large bangles, light beads and wooden jewellery can make all the difference. Sunglasses are a great accessory in the sun.

In extreme heat it is sensible to wear a minimum of make-up as it can melt on your face. Heavy foundation is definitely not a good idea as it can mix with perspiration and cause your face to resemble pink bubble wrap. Mascara is best left at home as it can run, but add a heavier line with a good, solid eye pencil to avoid looking washed out and tired.

Hair is best worn either very short or very long. Shorter styles can be easier to handle if they do not require excessive blow drying to keep their shape. Long hair is easier as it can be worn in a twist or tied up to keep it off the back of the neck. Medium lengths can be scooped up inside a hat for a cooler look.

Handbag provisions can save a lot of discomfort. Carry wet wipes and use them often on hands, face and even legs. They can also be useful for wiping down a hot steering wheel. Carry a small 'film pot' container of talcum powder for use when you have finished your ablutions with wet wipes, it can make all the difference. A small bottle of water is always a good idea to replenish energies but avoid fizzy drinks throughout the day.

Sun block should be applied to exposed arms and legs even when not at the pool or on the beach, to avoid sunburn. It is best applied at least ten minutes before you get dressed so the cream has a chance to absorb and dry.

Not everyone suits a hat but wearing one is essential to avoid heat exhaustion and sunburn, especially on the beach.

Clothes with pockets are a great asset because it means you do not have to carry a bag. However, beware of pickpockets and always carry valuable items in a button down or zip up pocket. Long handled bags are more comfortable so the strap can be slung over the shoulder, leaving hands free and less likely to sweat.

The Secrets to Looking Your Best

What is your first reaction when you are invited to an event or party of some kind? Do you start looking forward to it, or do you start panicking over what you will wear?

If you fall into the second group you're not alone. Many women struggle to find an outfit that they feel comfortable in and that suits their figure, but if you follow a few simple rules you can get a big head start whenever you need to buy something new for an upcoming occasion.

The first thing you should think about is your figure. Do you like to wear figure hugging outfits or would you prefer something looser and more flowing? Most women have something about themselves that they would prefer to hide, and by carefully choosing what you are going to wear you can create a look that accentuates your best features and takes the attention away from those you'd rather keep to yourself!

Another point to think about is colour. Some women automatically go for black to try and hide a larger figure, but sometimes a well tailored and comfortably fitting outfit in a lighter colour can enhance your figure a lot more. It also looks a lot brighter during the summer months when you really need a light colour to help keep you cool in the sun.

Don't forget what you wear on your feet either. Heels are wonderful for making you stand up straighter - keeping your back straight and your tummy sucked in - but don't wear anything higher than you feel comfortable in. If you buy new ones especially for the occasion it can be a good idea to break them in before you go out, since you don't want to be contending with blisters and sore feet while you are having fun.

Accessories are also important since they can provide a stunning finishing touch to any outfit, regardless of the colour or style. Fashion jewellery is a good way to complete the look without spending a lot of money doing so, but make sure you buy your outfit first. You can then match your jewellery to what you are wearing. This is especially advisable if you are trying to match colours.

Another point to think about is what kind of outfit you are going to opt for. Do you feel more comfortable in trousers? Or do you always head for the section of the store which has all the party dresses on display?

Party dresses are certainly more feminine and can keep you looking and feeling cool during summer parties and get togethers. Coupled with a few accessories they provide a quick and easy way to get ready in no time and you can still turn plenty of heads when you arrive!

Anti-Aging Skin Care- Seven Steps To Reducing Wrinkles And Preventing Aging Saggy Skin

Are you wondering which are the best anti aging treatments and ways to rejuvenate your skin?.

What can be done about existing lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin? Traditionally the only solutions available have been painful and expensive cosmetic surgeries, toxin injections, and harsh chemical peels. Each of which has a long list of potentially dangerous side effects. Recent scientific breakthroughs have allowed for the development of more gentle cosmetic products that can reduce saggy skin as well as facial lines and wrinkles without the risks involved with other more traditional procedures.

Probably you are confused with all the different ingredients that we can find in anti aging skin care products, and with so many choices, we don't even know where to start.

Aging is related to accumulation of damage at the cellular level. Offenders include environment, free radicals, and chemicals. The best way to deal with aging skin is to ensure that you take a proactive approach to skin care and follow a few simple steps to help prevent the early onset of aging and keep your skin hydrated and moisturised.

STEP 1. Use A Preservative Free Paraben Free Skin Care System

The major key in reducing aging skin and restoring youthful lustre is to avoid preservatives in your skin care products. Preservatives, methylparaben in particular, have been shown to increase the damage to skin caused by UV light, thus increasing the aging of skin .

If you want to prevent aging of your skin you really need to be aware of what you are putting on your skin. While many companies claim their products are “all natural” and of the “finest quality,” a close look at the ingredients reveals they contain toxic synthetic preservatives, ‘suspected’ carcinogens, drying alcohols, and synthetic fragrances and dyes.

So make an educated decision to use products that contain absolutely no preservatives . A good book to refer to is “The Truth About Cosmetics…And Some Natural Alternatives” by Haru Naito.

Until recently, most skin care products around the world have contained preservatives that promote skin aging. However, new skin care technology has developed and there are now a few unique skin care ranges on the market that have eliminated preservatives with the goal to support the skin’s state of wellness and protect the skin from premature aging. (http://www.revolutionaryskincare.info ).

In fact a world’s first water-based skincare line has been recently released in Japan, Australia and the US which uses a revolutionary patented water filtration system where fungus and bacteria can not grow thus eliminating the need for any preservatives. You can receive a free report and skin care brochure at http://www.preservativefreeskincare.info

STEP 2. Keep Your Skin Clean

Cleanse your skin with a gentle exfoliating cleanser. Make sure you do not leave on make up or allow residue to build up on your skin. This will lead to increased stress on your skin and can cause pores to clog and become infected.

The key here is not to rub, scrape, or be overly abrasive in the process. You will require a gentle cleanser that contains a fine abrasive to get into your skin pores and remove bacteria and soil. New skin care technology uses a fine ground stone which has tiny holes, when you wash our face, the stone goes into the skin pores and removes bacteria and soil from the pores.

STEP 3. Keep Your Skin Properly Hydrated.

Hydrating aging skin and helping it to retain moisture are the keys to reducing and preventing wrinkles. Water provides hydration to our skin. So you require a skin care line that can provide water to your skin cells and plump them up like a grape rather than shrivelled up and dry like a saltanna. Look at the hydration rates of the skin care product you are using and the clinical proven results.

Also many skin care products use carriers to take the moisturising ingredients into the cells. You need to ensure that no carrier chemicals are used which can be absorbed into your circulation and can cause serious health issues. A new water-based skincare line hydrates the skin by 80% after only one use and uses the technology of glyconutrients (plant based nutrients) to carry the water to the skin cell and hold it in. This dramatically reduces wrinkles. Research also shows that glyconutrients in skin care products seal the skin keeping in the water and keeping harmful elements out, meaning skin cells will be regenerated and skin can return to be like a babies bottom.

So use a skin care line that hydrates and uses safe carrier nutrients to fight the visible signs of aging by reducing wrinkles around your eyes, mouth and forehead.

STEP 4. Nourish your skin with healthy ingredients

Nourishing the skin with the proper ingredients is also important.

Use skin care that delivers only healthy nutrients that can protect your skin from premature aging, stress and dryness. Many plants in the world have long been recognized for their therapeutic health benefits. Just make sure the ingredients are natural plant foods or certified organic ingredients. Today many scientific studies demonstrate the numerous benefits of using specific botanicals that provide nourishing properties that assist your body in renewing healthy moisture enhanced skin tissues. This is the foundation of a preservative free skincare product line.

STEP 5. Use A Wrinkle Cream That Is Proven To Work

Wrinkles and spots are normally too deep to be effected by skin care products, but not now with the recent advancement in skin care technology skin cells can be corrected from damage done and create new healthy skin cells.

An anti-wrinkle cream lessens the appearance of your wrinkles, depending on how often you use it, the type and amount of active ingredient in the wrinkle cream and the extent of the wrinkles you want to treat.

Do they work? Consider these points when judging the merits of using a wrinkle cream: Ensure the skin care system you use has been subjected to research and clinical trials to prove their benefit. You’ll likely need to use the wrinkle cream once or twice a day for many weeks before noticing improvements. Remembering that skin cells rejuvenate every 28 days.

STEP 6. Support your skin’s health and prevent premature aging with good quality supplements.

ANTIOXIDANTS

Oxidative stress is the principle cause of aging and premature death. By controlling free radicals, anti-oxidants influence how fast and how well we age. It is virtually impossible to get optimal amount of antioxidants from foods alone. So invest in a good quality antioxidant. After a lifetime of exposure to pollutants, we need antioxidant help. The best antioxidant on the market is provided by the Australian Bush Plum and studies at an Australian University provides the research to prove the effect of this antioxidant which is provided in a capsule food supplement.

PHYTOSTEROLS

Scientists can tell how old you are physiologically based on the amount of DHEA (primary hormone of the body) in your blood. Levels peak at age 25 years and then decline. Most researchers agree to retard aging DHEA levels must be maintained. In our modern diet our daily intake of hormone modulator is severely depleted. A Phyto Hormone supplement provides your body naturally with the building blocks to maintain and enhance normal hormone production. It will support efficient fat burning, help you look younger, feel younger and potentially live longer.

GLYCONUTRIENTS

Science has now established that certain natural plant sugars are vital for maintaining good health. Glyconutrients play a vital role in disease prevention and immune system restoration. Supplementation with a blend of glyconutrients have been shown to improve the immune system and improve the antioxidant level inside cells. In addition research shows that glyconutrients help with reversing 8 of the biological signs of aging. A good reason to start supplementing your diet with these nutrients. There is only one manufacturer of the exclusive source of the complete blend of these nutrients.

ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS

Make sure you get a good blend of essential fatty acids in your diet.. Supplementation with essential fatty acids supports your skin to become softer and smoother. They are necessary to make cells membranes and for many of the important hormones and other chemical messengers that tell your body what to do.

In recent years, researchers have been able to determine the reason essential fats are so critical to the formation of soft, smooth skin texture and the management of certain skin conditions. Investigative studies have shown that the link between fabulous skin texture and intake of essential oils is explained by the effect essential fats have on the synthesis of prostaglandin hormones within epidermal cells.

So supplementation with a combination of these nutrients is required for you are wanting to reduce the signs of aging and support your skins health from inside as well as outside.

STEP 7. ADEQUATE REST

Make sure you get enough rest, so that your skin has time to repair itself.

We all know that aging skin can be problematic and sometimes even downright scary. By following the tips listed above and carefully selecting your skin care products, you'll be one step ahead in the battle against aging skin. We all get old but we don't have to look that way!

The bottom line is to know the science and ingredients behind the products you use, look at the clinical trials, ensure the company is ethical and practices good manufacturing practices and then stick to doing business with one that has a solid reputation for delivering results. There are countless products on the market but only a handful that are based on legitimate science. These are the ones to add to your daily skin care regiment.

The one thing you must do is be constant, without getting obsessed, with whatever you choose to rejuvenate your skin. A new era of skin care technology is a huge breakthrough in the battle against our aging skin.

So in summary your Skin Care wish list should include:

1. Preservative Free
2. Anti- Aging
3. Fragrance Free
4. Colorant Free
5. Allergy Tested
6. Suits All Skin Types
7. Non- Comedogenic (not clogging, won’t aggravate acne)
8. No Animal Testing
9. Opthamologist Tested
10. Visible Real Results

Too much in one skin care line. Do your research and you will find that there are limited skin care products that provide all these benefits. Go to http://www.preservativefreeskincare.info for a free report on antiaging and preservative free skin care.

Skin Care Moisturizer Cream Can Keep Your Skin Smooth and Supple

They say beauty is only skin deep, but only a woman knows just how true that is. You can be the prettiest thing in the room, but wrinkled, sun damaged skin can certainly bring your appearance down several notches. Skin care moisturizer cream is just the thing you need to help prevent new wrinkles, reduce the appearance of the wrinkles you have, and help heal sun damaged skin. Whether you struggle with dry skin, combination skin, oily skin, acne, or some other type of skin condition, there is a moisturizer that is made just for you. The only challenge is finding the right moisturizer for you and knowing what to look for. It’s all about getting the details right -- what types of moisturizer are best for you and how often to apply them. Luckily for you, we’ve got the scoop on the best moisturizers for your needs.

Water Based Moisturizers are a No-No

When purchasing moisturizer cream, many women simply do not stop and look at the ingredients. Often women are attracted to a pretty box or a pretty jar with a fancy sounding name without realizing that many of the moisturizers out there contain up to 40% water. Other women make the mistake of going with a water based moisturizer, thinking that water is the most natural moisturizer in the world and that it should do wonders for their skin. Strangely enough, that is not the case. Different all natural ingredients, like Aloe Vera, are better suited for a moisturizer for the face, especially for those looking for anti aging or anti wrinkle benefits. It may not seem like it but water based moisturizers are a recipe for disaster when it comes to dry skin. They dry out your skin even more as opposed to adding much needed moisture.

Consider the Benefits of Natural Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera based creams are different and for those who have only used water based products or for those looking for a change in their present moisturizing routine, this is the best and only alternative. A few of the skin care moisturizer cream products even contain essential fatty acids and other ingredients that actually imitate the natural actions and compositions of your skin. These special ingredients work wonders against drying and breakouts, and makes it easier for the ingredients to be absorbed into the skin. Aloe Vera itself is 100 percent natural, coming straight from the plant of the same name and is known for its healing benefits to damaged skin.

How Often is Too Often?

Depending on your skin and its makeup, you never know how much to moisturize until you figure out what is best for you. If you have normal skin, moisturizing once a day should be sufficient, but if you have dry skin or skin with a condition you may want to consider moisturizing twice daily -- once during the morning hours and once before bed.

Be sure to follow the directions that are specified on the back of moisturizer box or jar for best results and remember that not all moisturizers are created equal. Some of them have specific instructions and are designed to treat different skin conditions so be sure to read the label carefully. Some moisturizers have natural oils, vitamins, lipids, and other ingredients that are designed to smooth and beautify your skin. Be warned that chemicals have been added to other moisturizer creams and these should be strictly avoided.

How do you know which is the best skin care moisturizer cream for you? In all reality, there is no “one size fits all.” Everyone has a different type of skin and unfortunately there is a bit of trial and error that you must go through. You have to find out the hard way sometimes but often you can take shortcuts by getting recommendations from other women with skin similar to yours. Remember though that just because a particular product works for someone else does not necessarily mean that it will work for you. One thing you can be sure of though is that it is pretty hard to go wrong with an aloe vera based moisturizer. Aloe Vera can heal damaged skin, moisturize, and even provide some anti aging benefits as well. Plus it doesn’t dry out the skin like water based moisturizers do...and it should go without saying that dry skin is much more prone to wrinkles than hydrated, moisturized skin.

The benefits of Aloe Vera are endless and no matter what type of skin you have, you should be able to enjoy the benefits of this all natural ingredient that was discovered more than 3,500 years ago and that is still being used today. An Aloe Vera based moisturizer can help give you healthier, more beautiful skin no matter what kind of skin you have and no matter how much sun damage you have.

Be sure to read the label before buying any moisturizer cream and always, always, always demand an Aloe Vera based moisturizer.

Do you hate fine lines?

Do you hate wrinkles?

Do you hate sun spots?

Do you have old acne scars to get rid of?

Do you want to feel beautiful again?

An Aloe Vera based moisturizer cream just may be the way to go and due to its healing properties, Aloe Vera should be something you look for in any skin care moisturizer cream.

3 Reasons to Try Natural Hair Loss Cures

1. Natural hair loss cures are cheaper.Prescription drugs for hair loss, namely Propecia (Finasteride) and Rogaine (Minoxidil), can cost you a lot of money in the long-run. Expect to spend at least $300 for the full hair restoration cycle you’ll go through. You can spend half that amount and still have your hair back in a few months time with natural alternatives. You need to keep taking hair loss drugs or you’ll lose your hair again. That’s not the case with hair loss supplements. Some hair loss supplements have given permanent results to some men.2. Natural hair loss cures have no side effects. What’s astonishing about natural hair growing supplements is that they have absolutely no side effects, unlike the chemical prescription drugs for hair loss. The main reason behind this is because these supplements are made from natural ingredients that cannot by any chance cause any side effects. It’s a comfortable feeling to know that the hair loss pills you’re taking aren’t causing any harm to your body. There was a clinical study once that involved a number of males taking 1mg of Propecia (Finasteride) every day, until they experienced side effects such as erectile dysfunction, and lower sex drives. There have been documented cases of gynecomastia (the growth of breasts in men) after the use of Propecia.Itchy scalp, acne, headaches, extremely low blood pressure, fast heart beat, chest pain and blurred vision are the reported side effects for Rogaine (Minoxidil). You can have none of these side effects if you use natural alternatives to stop hair loss.3. Natural hair loss cures work just as well, if not betterWhile many people believe hair loss drugs are the best solutions to restoring their lost hair, this is not true. The natural alternative products work can deliver the same or better results in stopping the thinning and falling of hair. Most alternatives contain effective ingredients that work to block DHT (Dihydrotestosterone), the hormone mainly responsible for hair loss. This stops the hair from thinning and eventually falling; and helps your body to restore the nutrients in your hair follicle. You can regrow your hair within a matter of months, without any unwanted side effects, and save some cash that could have been wasted.

How to Maintain Your Health & Beauty - Tips for Busy Women

If you are an always-busy person having quite a plenty of daily activities, you might not have time to take enough care of your health and beauty. Here are some practical tips on how to stay healthy and looking good - while keeping busy:

Water is essential for your health and beauty, so make sure to drink minimum 6 glasses of mineral water each day. Coffee, tea and alcoholic drinks cause dehydration. If you wake up in the morning with a sad look, it signifies that your body is lack of water. Inadequate water in your body gives an obvious effect to your skin.

Having breakfast is very important. Both your brain and body need energy to do their activities. It’s unnecessary to have a heavy meal in the morning. Just prepare some quick but healthy meal, such as yoghurt, bread, cereal, egg and fruit.

Eat one or two tomatoes during your short breaks. Tomatoes are anti-oxidants; they help fighting cancer cells in your body. If you don’t like eating tomatoes, tomato sauce or paste is the same good as raw tomatoes.

Avoid having donuts, candies or sweet cookies. If you are hungry, just have some sandwich, yoghurt or fruit juice instead. Beside healthy, such foods help keeping you in shape.

Consume multivitamins, though the effect is not as great as if you consume fresh fruit. Vitamins A, B, C and E are essential for your health. They also help you to look young. Yet if you are a heavy smoker or drinker, multivitamins won’t effect so much.
Smoking may give you some special taste and relaxation, but consider the bad effect to your health in the long term. Nicotine also gives bad effects to your skin look. Though you’ve been smoking for many years, it’s never too late to stop smoking.

Virus transfers through hands, lift buttons, phones, computers etc., so wash your hands especially when you are going to eat something, or when you are having cold.

Brush your teeth at least twice a day. Other than avoiding teeth problems, this will also save time and money you may spend for visiting a dentist.

Choose stairs instead of lifts. Use stairs for at least 3 or 4 floors then you can have lifts for the next floors. Don’t park your car very near to your workplace so that you can have some decent walk everyday.

Stresses accelerate aging of your body, so minimize your stresses. Breathe deeply to reduce your stress level. Do this regularly. Adequate amount of oxygen will freshen your body up.

You can certainly find more than those mentioned above. Just find and teach yourself.

How to Be More Feminine

Unhappy medium

The feminine principle has been suppressed for millennia. In recent decades, we have also learnt to suppress the masculine and relate in a safe, neutral way. Relating in a neutral way is expedient for all of us at times, but part of the richness of life and opportunity of this time, is for all of us to develop a wider spectrum of strengths and choices, and dance more freely with others, especially in intimate relationships. To dance we have to be willing to be and express something other than neutral. In doing so, we help others express more of themselves. In particular, when we are more feminine, we leave space for others to be more masculine.

How to be more feminine :-

1. Please ourselves - Women have been conditioned for many generations to get and keep a man. Even in these enlightened, liberated times, studies show that women who are not in relationship are less confident about their appearance than women who are in relationships. This feminine obsessions with being wanted, loved, attractive and in relationship can get in our way.

When we are feminine for our own sakes, we do not feed these obsessions or attempt to manipulate others, which is something women learn to do when they have no direct access to power. When we pay most attention to how we feel, rather than to the response of other, we own our own power and are authentic.

2. Explore, experiment, create, express - To please ourselves, we have each to explore what being feminine means to us and what helps us to feel feminine, and to enjoy and express the many different aspects of our femininity. This might include exploring creative outlets such as art, writing, music or dance, or creating a home or garden, or connecting with children, nature, the earth, sea, women, men, intuition ...

3. Reclaim choice - To change deeply entrenched habits, we need to be aware of our liking for what is familiar and, hence, comfortable. For many of us, that includes responding in a neutral or masculine way. Only when we are aware of doing so, do we have real choice.

4. Connect and flow with life - The power of the feminine comes from connecting and co-operating. This is usually seen as co-operating with others but it can also apply to flowing with life and change. The feminine, which is associated with intuition and feelings, is well placed to do this, provided we own our feelings rather than resist them or dump them on others.

5. Connect with others (in an isolating culture) - The feminine is associated with and, to some extent, discovered through, connection and co-operation with others. Now that we are all so busy and many of us are somewhat isolated, this can be challenging.

A resource which is useful for this and for learning to flow with life is improvisation, in dance and in theatrical games. Look out for theatrical or comedy improvisation, Action Theatre, Five rhythms, The Wave, contact improvisation, Biodanza.

6. Connect with our bodies - While the masculine has a narrow, mental focus, the feminine has a broader view which includes our bodies, sensuality, feelings, hearts and all life. There are many forms of movement that are useful for connecting with our bodies. Some of these, such as sacred movement and dance, also help us to connect at other levels.

Look out for belly dance, which connects us with our bodies, sensuality and femininity. The emphasis is not on body shape but on using and enjoying what we have. That said, dancing in front of huge mirrors can be challenging but meeting that challenge helps us get over our obsession with having 'perfect' bodies and come to terms with what we actually look like, which is extremely liberating. There is also growing movement of dance which fuses the dance of different traditions. This is particularly useful for experiencing different aspects of the feminine (like the proud, earthiness of tribal dance; fiery flamenco, softer Indian dance). Look out for tribal fusion or ATS classes.

7. Open - The more we inhabit our bodies, the more we open, which allows us to feel more feminine.

One aspect of this is sharing ourselves. In 2007, a study revealed that, contrary to popular myths, men talk just as much as women. It does seem to be true that women talk more about people however. This can descend to gossip, or we can help others to share themselves and connect with others in a fuller, deeper and more meaningful way.

8. Praise - "The feminine grows through praise" David Deida.

According to Deida, the masculine grows through challenge and the feminine through praise, at least in part because praise helps us to open. Deida does not however, tell us how to meet the challenge (in the UK, at least) of getting praise! The best answer I've come up with is to praise myself freely and often, and to notice signs of approval in the responses of others (like being more open with me, giving me their time, attention or a smile).

9. Take great care of yourself - When we are nurtured and 'loved up', we are softer, more open and feminine. The feminine is the great nurturer, so lets love and pamper ourselves. This includes choosing the company we keep with care and ensuring we always have the support we need. When we take great care of ourselves we can keep our hearts open.

10. Clothes, hair and energy - I was tempted to call this section 'appearance' but there is much more to it than that. Clothes, fabrics, colours and even styles, all have an energy and affect how we feel (confident, happy, sexy, attractive etc.). Very often, it is this feeling that attracts people's attention, rather than the outward change, which brings us back to pleasing ourselves.

11. Love, relationships and heart wisdom - Despite the feminine obsession with love and intimate relationships, most divorces are initiated by women. The love, intimacy and deeper heart felt connections we long for are only possible when we drop down into our hearts and risk keeping our hearts open. When we do so, those around us naturally drop down into their own hearts, and open more, deepening their connection with themselves and their heart's wisdom, their environment and with us. This is the gift of the feminine, a gift the world sorely needs.
